How excited have I been recently about having a little courtyard I hear you ask? Very! I've barely done anything to it yet and I can't wait to start, but time and money are cutting me short.
Its a little gravelled courtyard, and as I'm renting I can't actually plant anything so I'm trying to start a plant pot garden...

So we went to explore Test River near Lee, Romsey the other day. It was so pretty and the sun was out for one of the last days of summer.
So a few weeks ago my boyfriend bought a longboard, he's wanted one for ages and finally got one from his work. We went out at the weekend to try it, he brought along an old plastic cruiser he got years ago so I wouldn't be that left behind.
The boyfriend showed me lots of different styles, we went to the skates warehouse to have a look, and I decided on a Penny Nickel, the bigger version of the Penny skateboard. It was easier to balance on and I quite like the style. Ok so people will judge me for it and its bright pink so it'll be hard to miss but I kinda love it already.
I've never been on a skateboard before and he found a pretty perfect place to start. Obviously because he's amazing at everything he got on and just was perfect immediately, whereas I struggled, a lot!
Ok so the little skateboard I was on had got slightly rusty from being in a shed for years, but I had a go on his longboard, and it was much easier so.... I decided to buy one for myself!

I've only been on it twice, but so far it's loads of fun. I'm not good at it but if I keep practising I guess I'll get better no?
It's a good way to exercise though so maybe I will start getting fitter eventually!! Plus I never spend any time outside anymore and this will be one way to go out more often.
I appeared on BBC Breakfast along with Miriam Francois Cerrah to talk about the Bosnia trip back in July. I didn't get many photos but my boyfriend came with me and took a few. Had my make up done and everything! Was very cool but very embarrassing.

So you may have noticed I haven't posted anything this summer. In fact, I haven't posted anything on any social media. The day the documentary came out I decided that I was so embarrassed about sobbing my heart out on national tv that I needed to re evaluate what my priorities were. I spend too much time thinking about how I project myself that I forget the things that really matter, looking after myself and trying to change for the better.

The permanent exhibition provides documentary scenes of what was left of Srebrenica in the wake of this genocide. I thought I should leave you with a few photos from this gallery, now these photos are not mine, they belong to Tarik Samarah (the photographer) and I just got them off the internet, but I thought as so many people will have the chance to go to beautiful Sarajevo, it might be in your interests to see a few photos here.
I'm not sorry for the distressing content, it has to be seen. And although it may seem out of place on my blog, it is something so close to my heart that I had no choice but to share it. Especially today, the 11th July, marking 20 years exactly since the genocide.
Remember to keep the victims and their families in your thoughts today, as they are in mine everyday.
